Who We Are

Priscila

Founder, Owner of

Healing Roots Therapy

Priscila is a psychotherapist, somatic and holistic practitioner, yoga teacher, and mother whose work is rooted in honoring the wisdom of the body, the stories we carry, and the lineages we come from. She meets each person with deep listening, respect, and openness, holding space in a way that is both grounded and attuned. Her approach to healing is a remembering—an invitation to return home to the body, to self, and to what has always been within.

With over 20 years of personal yoga practice and more than a decade of holding space for community healing, Priscila weaves together psychology, somatics, yoga, and earth-based wisdom to support both individual and collective care. Her work is especially devoted to supporting BIPOC communities, caregivers, and healing practitioners in cultivating sustainable, embodied practices that honor lived experience and lineage.

Priscila holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2013 with Yogalution Movement and Ayurveda in Long Beach, CA.

She approaches healing as a process of remembering—guided by trauma-informed care, somatic practice, and a deep respect for the wisdom carried through our bodies, cultures, and lineages.

Melissa

Founder, Owner of

Rancho Te Cuidas

Melissa is a mama, creative soul, trauma-informed yoga teacher, and community/folk herbalist. Her work centers BIPOC women, mamas, caregivers, and healers, weaving somatic practice, plant medicine, and ancestral remembering to support personal and collective care.

She approaches herbalism as a relationship—working with plants as teachers and allies, and as a pathway back to intuition, ancestral wisdom, and the inner child through play. Her offerings invite a slow, nourishing return home to the body.

Melissa loves leading trauma-informed yoga classes, hands-on herbal workshops, tea meditations, and seasonal community gatherings. She creates spaces for restoration, presence, and remembering.

As a homeschooling mama of two, Melissa is passionate about guiding folks to reclaim their autonomy and reconnect with their sacred relationship to the earth and its beautiful medicines.
